Speaking of Kiki's Tale, an article called 'Abstraction on the Ropes?' supporting the pervasiveness of "pure abstract art" versus "shock-schlock figurative melodrama" of which I partially agree with by a critic I can sometimes stand whose name is always Donald Kuspit.

After seeing Smith's exhibition in the winter of 2005, I walked away with Born lingering in my head. Little Isabella, daughter of Jordan and Marlee, had developed something of an obsession with Tale. For months she would say, whether in inquiry or as a statement of fact, "Lady Pooping?!"
