Kristof Wickman at the Brooklyn Museum of Art

I've had the pleasure of seeing Kristof's work at the Hunter open studios and his incredible thesis show,  now his exhibition    RAW/COOKED   is up at the Brooklyn Museum of Art until Nov 27th!

09/16/2011 – 11/27/2011 Mezzanine Gallery, 2nd Floor

"Raw/Cooked launches on September 16 with an exhibition of the work of Bushwick-based artist Kristof Wickman. Recommended by Paul Ramírez Jonas, Wickman is an object maker and skilled builder. He makes casts of everyday objects, often intertwining them with casts of the human body in unusual, sometimes humorous, ways. Wickman will be creating several new works especially for Raw/Cooked, inspired by objects from the Museum’s collection. Wickman was born in 1981 in Madison, Wisconsin. He received a B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2005 and an M.F.A. from Hunter College in May 2010."
